Et c’est l’âge où les signes du vieillissement commencent déjà à apparaître chez le chat. En effet, les chats vieillissent plus vite que les humains.
L’espérance de vie d’un chat est aujourd’hui de près de 15 ans.
Il n’est pas rare de voir des chats dépasser l’âge de 20 ans : des chats «centenaires».
