Pourquoi ?
La stérilisation est conseillée si vos rongeurs vivent en couple ou en groupe et que vous ne souhaitez pas avoir de petits (nombreux chez ces animaux prolifiques !). De plus, elle diminue fortement le risque de certaines pathologies ou comportements gênants (Chez la femelle : tumeurs de l’utérus ou des ovaires, tumeurs mammaires, anxiété… Chez le mâle : agressivité hormonale, marquage urinaire, odeur marquée…). Selon l’espèce, il peut exister des contre-indications.
Quand ?
Nous vous recommandons de faire stériliser votre petit rongeur à partir de l’âge de 3 à 6 mois, selon son espèce.
